Rumors that Chinese giant Xiaomi is working on a MacBook-clone have been floating around since last December. Now a new report claims to confirm that the company will launch its first laptop in China next year. According to Taipei Times, Xiaomi recently tapped Inventec to produce the notebook. The new device won’t launch until the first half of 2016, the report said. It’s expected to follow a similar model as the company’s smartphones, which offer solid hardware and features at cutthroat prices. Xiaomi already has a huge fan base in China and a few other countries where it operates. Dell has announced an updated version of Chromebook 11 and Dell Venue 10 Android Tablet. As per the announcement, the Dell Venue 10 comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop Operating System. Asus has today launched its affordable notebook with Windows 8.1 Operating System in the Indian market. Dubbed as Asus EeeBook X205, this notebook will be available for purchase in India with a price tag of just Rs. 14,999. It will competing directly with Chromebooks and other low-cost netbooks available in the market. Acer is now world’s first Chromebook developer with a 15.6-inch Chromebook. The new Acer Chromebook 15, is the first Chrome OS powered device with big 15.6-inch display screen. The company will unveil this Chromebook at the Pepcom’s Digital Experience Event next week in Las Vegas. Dubbed as Samsung ATIV Book 9 Ultrabook, this laptop is just 0.45 inch thick and will be available for purchase in 2015. The company also plans to bring it in CES 2015 next month.
