Xiaomi Laptop Coming In 2016

Image
Rumors that Chinese giant Xiaomi is working on a MacBook-clone have been floating around since last December. Now a new report claims to confirm that the company will launch its first laptop in China next year. According to Taipei Times, Xiaomi recently tapped Inventec to produce the notebook. The new device won’t launch until the first half of 2016, the report said. It’s expected to follow a similar model as the company’s smartphones, which offer solid hardware and features at cutthroat prices. Xiaomi already has a huge fan base in China and a few other countries where it operates. The firm mostly sells smartphones and a few other gadgets, but a new laptop could give it a whole new source of revenue. “I am upbeat about the business outlook for Xiaomi’s notebook computers,” Inventec chairman Richard Lee told Taipei Times. “The firm has more than 200 million registered smartphone users.” It sounds like Xiaomi’s laptop will be limited to China at first, though it’s poss

Windows 8.1 Smart Search tracks all user searches and save it online

Image
So, are you using the latest Windows 8.1 ? If Yes!  then  here is something you should know if you really care for your privacy. According to the recent reports by InfoWorld’s Woody Leonhard some of the new features in Windows 8.1 are really like those features for which Microsoft was  criticizing  Google in  it’s  “Scroogled” ads. The most notable Scroogle-y change in Windows 8.1 is the new Smart Search feature which helps you to search everything on your computer and is powered by Bing Search Engine. But do you know that, by default Windows 8.1 records all your internal hard drive searches and send it online to Bing ? From where it can be sold in the markets for delivering relevant ads in Bing searches. Leonhard writes that: “Bing Smart Search works by snooping on the searches you perform on your Windows 8.1 computer (there’s no Smart Search in Windows 8),” “Windows watches as you run local searches. Unless you specifically, explicitly search for Settings or Files, Sma

Advantages and Disadvantages of Google Chromebook

Image
Recently Google launched its two new Chromebooks in Indian market. Dubbed as Acer C720 and HP Chromebook 14, both of these new Chromebooks are now available on Flipkart and various other select Croma and Reliance Digital Stores. The Price of Acer C720 is Rs. 22,999 and HP Chromebook 14 is Rs. 26,990. There are already many other Netbooks and Laptops available at this price range. But they are running Windows or Linux, and the Chromebooks are running Chrome Operating System. For those who are unaware, Google Chrome OS is a Linux based Operating System which is designed to work purely with web services. That means most of the apps in Chrome OS will require an Internet Connection and it will be good for those users who are using the Internet most of the time. So, Chrome OS is totally different from Windows, that is the reason it becomes difficult for us to decide whether we have to buy a Chromebook or a normal Laptop. Thinking of that, below we are adding the positive and negati
