Windows 8.1 RTM File Leaks Out Before Official Release
Following on from the unveiling yesterday that Microsoft had finished creating and tweaking their new Windows 8.1 software and have now made it ready for release for consumers on October 18th 2013.
The final Windows 8.1 RTM update file leaked on to file sharing websites offering the final RTM version of Windows 8.1 available for download.
The current copy available in a localised Chinese version, but English variants are also being prepared, says the Verge website. The final Windows 8.1 RTM update will be released by Microsoft on October 18th 2013. Windows 8.1 is a free update to Windows 8 and has new ways for you to personalise your PC and includes a new apps and services.
The Windows 8.1 final RTM version adds a Reading View to Internet Explorer 11, together with a built-in Skype application to replace the messaging client, as well as user interface redesigns for the Calendar and People apps. Other features in the latest Windows 8.1 update also include the new parallax scrolling wallpapers for the Start Screen and 3D printing support.
