Pushbullet Lets You Reply to Allo Messages From PC

Image
The recently launched Google Allo smart messaging app just got an interesting new feature, via the third-party Pushbullet service. It has updated its Android app so that users can see and reply to messages sent to them on their PC as well as on their smartphone. Here’s how to set up this useful feature. First you have to actually download the Android Pushbullet app on your phone. After you sign in to the app, you have to enable the Notification Mirroring in its settings. Finally, you have to install a version of Pushbullet on your PC.  You have the choice of downloading its browser extension or you can get the full Windows desktop app. After that you should be set up to receive any Allo messages sent to your smartphone on your PC as well, and you can reply to those messages directly from the PC as well. Pushbullet says, quite rightly, that this is not a full version of an Allo desktop app on the PC (which is not likely to happen) but it’s better than nothing. Will you be

Nova Launcher Beta Update Brings Nougat-Styled Launcher Shortcuts

Image
The latest beta version of the highly popular Nova Launcher for Android is rolling out in the Google Play Store. Beta testers who also have Android 7.1 Nougat installed are supposed to have support for the operating system’s new app shortcuts feature. We say “supposed to” because, according to Droid Life, the new apps shortcut feature for the Nova Launcher beta does not work on Google’s new Pixel phones, but apparently does work for other phones that have Android 7.1 installed. Keep in mind this is a beta and that means bugs will be found and, hopefully, squashed before the final version is released. The new beta of the Nova Launcher also has a backport of some Android 7.1 launcher shortcuts to Android 5.1 and 6.0. It also allows users to display weather in the Google Search bar.  Finally, this new version brings some unnamed “fixes and optimizations”. Interested in becoming a beta tester? First you’ll need to sign up to to be a tester at this link, then head to the Pla

To make a video call, users simply need to click on the calling button and choose between 'Voice' and 'Video' calling options. The option also allows users to change from front camera to rear camera and mute the call. In addition, users would get notified when they miss a call. To call back, they can tap on the same menu. How To Use Hangouts On Google Pixel And Pixel XL

Image
The Pixel ships with Android 7.1, Google's latest version of Nougat that includes a number of improvements. But some Pixel owners may find a surprising omission when they load up the Pixel for the first time: a lack of Google Hangouts. Some versions of the Pixel are shipping with Hangouts installed on the device but disabled, as Google tries to push people towards its new chat app, Allo. But if you, like me, are one of the remaining Hangouts diehards, here's how to re-enable it and get back to your old habits. How to enable Hangouts on the Pixel On the home screen, swipe down from the notification shade. Tap on the Settings cog. Scroll down and tap on Apps. Scroll down and tap on Hangouts. Tap Enable. After that, you can head to the Play Store and update the app to the latest version. That's it! Now you can get back to using Hangouts and ignoring Allo, like the good ol' days.

Chiranjeevi next movie with Trivikram confirmed ?

Image
Megastar Chiranjeevi is returning to big screen after a decade-long gap, next year with Khaidi No 150. And the way he is going ahead with planning his future projects, it is clear that he has a massive plan ahead. Breaking all the doubts that the star might slow in going ahead after his return, Megastar has set up back to back projects after his comeback. While we already know about the Boyapati Sreenu movie as an immediate follow-up, there is a buzz now that he will be doing his third film after comeback with Trivikram Srinivas. That would be three solid combinations one after the other with two directors who are the peak. It is clear from all this moves that Chiranjeevi has a clear goal ahead and that is to regain his number 1 position as soon as possible. All said and done, Khaidi No 150 would be giving a right indication to where he is headed. If that turns out to be a success there would be no looking back for the “Boss”. Meanwhile, fans are naturally thrilled to bits hearing

Google wallpapers app launched for all Android phones

Image
Google has just launched its own Wallpapers app, which is basically a spin-off from the wallpaper picker that’s included in the launcher for the company’s new Pixel and Pixel XLsmartphones. The app allows users to pick new wallpapers based on their own stored photos, or ones found on Google Earth, Google+ and more sources. If you pick a favorite category from the app, you can choose to have a new wallpaper image placed on your phone every day. If you own one of the very few phones that has Android 7.0 Nougat installed, the wallpapers app has an extra feature that will allow users to set up one image for the smartphone’s lock screen, and another for the phone’s main home screen. While this is not in any way a revolutionary app from Google, it is nice that the company is allowing all Android phones to share in one of the features that was first thought to be a Pixel exclusive. Ram Charan Under Pressure, Pays Huge For Chiranjeevi - Lakshmi Roy item song

Image
If the buzz from the film circles is to be believed, Raai Laxmi has been paid 40 lakh rupees for doing an item song in Khaidi No. 150. This is a very huge paycheck considering her popularity and demand. When top heroines like Tamanna and Shruti are being paid around 50 lakh for a special song, Raai Laxmi bagging 40 lakh is sensational. Producer Ram Charan was under pressure to find an immediate replacement for Catherine as the choreographer Lawrence was upset with her behavior.  Lawrence who is busy with his acting and direction assignments allotted five days for Chiranjeevi’s film just to be a part of Megastar’s landmark film. Having Lawrence on board does add value to the film and Ram Charan didn’t want to miss out on it at any cost. Therefore to ensure that the filming of the song goes as per plans, Charan called upon Raai Laxmi as an immediate replacement. She demanded 40 lakh to do the song, a paycheck that is definitely high above her usual range, but Charan couldn’t

Sunil play important role in Pawan Kalyan-Trivikram film

Image
Ever since Sunil became a hero, film lovers have been missing his brand of comedy. More importantly, some of Sunil's finest roles have been in movies directed by his bosom buddy Trivikram Srinivas. After Sunil became a hero, Trivikram stopped casting him in comic roles in his movies as he felt it would be unfair to use Sunil for his films when there were producers spending crores on movies with Sunil as hero.  But here’s good news for Trivikram-Sunil combo fans. Pawan Kalyan would be doing a film with Trivikram Srinivas after his current film Katamrayudu is over. Trivikram is planning for the film and working on the script. Industry sources say that Sunil would be doing a cameo in the movie. Considering that all characters penned by Trivikram for Sunil have gone on to become memorable ones, there’s no doubt that Sunil’s cameo would also be something speci

Google Pixel, Pixel XL launched: Price, specifications, features

Image
The rumor mills can now take a break as Google has finally taken the wraps off its Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones at the ongoing event in San Francisco. With today’s launch, the Nexus lineup is officially dead, and the Pixel lineup is quintessentially Google. Though manufactured by HTC, both smartphones feature the ‘G’ logo and are touted as ‘Made by Google’. The overall design and looks are in line with what has leaked before. Unlike before, both the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones look and feel the same, and they are only differentiated on the basis of size. With the new Pixel smartphones, Google isn’t involved in the specifications race like the other Android companies. Instead, the company is following Apple’s rulebook by taking control over both the hardware and software part of the Pixel smartphones. But the question is, can it be as successful? Google is now using the new smartphones to show-off what its software and services are capable of. Unlike Nexus, the Pixel sma
