Acer announced that it will be expanding support for 5th Generation Intel Core processors by adding the CPU to their Aspire E5-571 notebooks in India. S Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India said, “Acer continues leading the industry in computing innovation by enhancing the user experience. Acer is now world’s first Chromebook developer with a 15.6-inch Chromebook. The new Acer Chromebook 15, is the first Chrome OS powered device with big 15.6-inch display screen. The company will unveil this Chromebook at the Pepcom’s Digital Experience Event next week in Las Vegas. Talking about the features, Acer Chromebook 15 comes with 16GB and 32GB SSD options, along with 2GB and 4G RAM respectively. The price of this Chromebook in the U.S. is $249.99 and the company is yet to launch it in other countries including India. Chromebook 15 is comes with Intel’s fifth-gen Core i3 or fifth-gen Celeron processors (depending on the market). Acer Iconia A3 Android Tablet Announced

As well as announcing the new Acer Liquid S2 smartphone, Acer has added a new Android tablet to their range with the launch of the Acer Iconia A3. The Acer Iconia A3 features a 10.1 inch display that features a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, processing comes in the form of a quad core cortex A7 1.2GHz processor. Other specifications on the Acer Iconia A3 include a 5 megapixel rear camera for photos and video, plus a choice of either 16GB or 32gB of built in storage. The Iconia A3 will be available in a WiFi only version and a WiFi and 3G Version, the WiFi model will launch in Europe on October for 249 Euros, the 3G version will launch in November and will retail for 299 Euros. Acer Aspire U5 AIO Desktop PC Announced

The great thing about all-in-one desktop computers is that they tend to take up less space compared to a regular desktop PC, and if you loved Acer’s earlier AIO desktop offering in the form of the Aspire Z3 that was announced back in June, perhaps the company’s Aspire U5 could be of some interest to you.
