YouTube is currently working on a new design updates for its video player. The new YouTube Player is totally transparent and looks better than the current one. Along with the new transparency, it also includes new animation for different settings. While we don’t know when YouTube is planning to complete the roll out, but if you want then you can get this new transparent player right now. YouTube is currently rolling out a new useful and fun tool for channels. If you are among one of the lucky users, then you might see a new ‘GIF’ tab located under sharing options, just next to email in your channel. As we told, the feature is currently only available for limited and select number of channels. So, you might not see it on every channel. As the name suggests, this GIF generator option will allow you to create GIF for any video and then share it with your friends. To get started, you have to click on the GIF sharing option and then choose the Start and End time (which is for 6 seconds) and then click on the ‘Create GIF’ button. If you want then you can also add any Top or Bottom text to your GIF. The tool is pretty much fast and ones the GIF is created you can then get the embed codes or links to share it with your friends. A new Google app has today received the Material Design makeover. The YouTube for Android now features Materiel Design and total design makeover. The app is now more attractive and impressive. It has fresh coat of red paint everywhere, so whether it is the navigation panel or any other element, everything has been updated to match Material Design language. Well, it seems like there isn’t much changes in the functionality, as everything seems to be same, except the User Interface. The app is still rolling out, which means that it might take a few days to reach your region. New reports claim that, YouTube is planning to launch its own subscription music service in coming months. It is expected to be similar as Spotify but it will also include video components. It will have two different tiers, a free version and a premium version which will offer unlimited access. It is expected to cost around $9.88 per month for premium version. The premium users will have the option to remove ads and will be allowed to store music for offline listening. According to Billboard this upcoming YouTube subscription service could also be paired up with other Google products and services including Google Glass. In response to this report, YouTube said that “We’re always working on new and better ways for people to enjoy YouTube content across all screens, and on giving partners more opportunities to reach their fans.
