Xiaomi plans to launch Mi Band in India in April

Jaimani, part of Mi India product team, announced in a forum  update  that Mi Band will be available by late March or early April. According to the update, Mi India is currently testing Mi Band and plan to sell it in India as soon as they complete the update to MIUI 6 for their devices. As far as MIUI 6 OS updates go, they are currently in the process of rolling out Note 4G and Mi 3. Once these updates are over, they will be offering updates to Note 3G and Redmi 1S that will be over by March. If you are not aware Mi Band is essentially a wrist band that tracks various health related activities. It will monitor daily fitness levels by tracking your walking distance and other physical activities done through the day. Xiaomi India, through Mi India Facebook page, has announced that the 64GB version of its Mi 4 smartphone will be available on Flipkart starting February 24. The Mi 4 64GB has been priced at Rs 23,999. However, we can expect Xiaomi to surprise us with some discount before it officially goes on sale. Xiaomi had launched the Mi 4 16GB smartphone in January at Rs 19,999 and will go on sale on Flipkart from February 10. It seems that the 64GB version of the Mi 4 smartphone will share the same spec sheet and will come without support for 4G connectivity. Running Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system sugar-coated with MIUI 6, the phone comes with a 13MP rear camera along with an 8M front camera. The The rear camera supports 4K video recording and along with Sony IMX214 stacked CMOS rear 6P lens, and f1.8 aperture. After long rumors and leaks, Xiaomi has finally launched its Mi4 smartphone in the Indian market. The price of Xiaomi Mi 4 in India is Rs. 19,999 aka Rs. 20,000. I don’t know why Xiaomi decided to choose this pricing, but it gives customers another reason to go with OnePlus One instead of buying this phone. Talking about the features, the Xiaomi Mi 4 comes with a 5-inch of 1920 x 1080 pixels IPS display screen with 441ppi. The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat based Xiaomi’s MIUI 6 User Interface. It is highly customized version of Android Operating System. Other features include a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor inside with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of Internal Storage. Xiaomi may launch the Mi 4 on January 28 in India

For all those who were waiting for Xiaomi’s Mi4 smartphone in India, here is a good news for you. Xiaomi’s VP of Global Operations, Hugo Barra has recently revealed that the company is planning to launch Mi4 in the Indian market on coming January 28th. Which means that it will be on sale just after 10 days. That is what he revealed at the Mi Note announcement in Beijing’s Press Event. The company is yet to announce the price of Mi 4 for Indian users. But this phone is currently on sale in China for 1,999 yuan which means it might be on sale in India with the price tag of something like Rs. 18,999. To remind you, Xiaomi Mi 4 comes with a 5-inch of Full HD display screen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor along with 3GB of RAM, running Android 4.4 KitKat based MIUI 6.0 and packing 3080 mAh battery inside. The device also features a metal frame and nano-coating for water-resistance. The back camera is of 13MP and front one is of 8MP.
