When you’ve created your external list and try to access it (even as the same user, Administrator, that created it) you might get the following error: To resolve this so called problem, follow along here: Go to  Central Administration  ->  Application Management  ->  Manage Service Applications  -> Business Data Connectivity Service*  ->  [Your Entity]  ->  Set Permissions Configure the actual permissions In my case below, I’ve just told SharePoint that my Farm Administrator should be able to do all actions (Edit, Execute, Selectable in Clients and Set Permissions) Please note: You might want to use different permissions in your environments – the permissions set in this blog post is just to demonstrate how you effectively change/add permissions for your BCS Entities to get up and running. You will most likely be required to performa an IISRESET at this point to force SharePoint to understand what just happened :-) Check your external list

Samsung teases an ‘amazing camera’ on the Galaxy S6

Image
A month ago, I wrote about the iPhone's camera and how instrumental it is to many of the things that make that bestselling device so appealing. In a post by Samsung's camera R&D chief DongHoon Jang, the company promises its 2015 flagship phone "will be intelligent and do all the thinking for users, allowing them to take amazing pictures under any conditions, without having to worry about anything more than just pressing the shutter button." Imaging technology has been a traditional strength for Samsung's flagship smartphones, and the latest Galaxy Note 4 has marked an appreciable upgrade after a couple of years of relative stagnation in image quality. Now Samsung seems intent to step things up another notch, with the blog post also discussing the rising importance of the

Microsoft sends invitations to its MWC 2015 event on March 2, could unveil Lumia 1330

Image
The invite doesn’t quite give away what the company has in store for the event. The only thing mentioned in the invite is the tagline, “Come along for the ride,” alongside an image of hot air balloon. Recent reports however suggest that the company could take the wraps off Lumia 1330, the successor to last year’s 6-inch Nokia Lumia 1320. From what we’ve heard so far, the Lumia 1330 features a 5.7-inch HD display, a 14-megapixel rear camera and 32GB internal storage. Additionally, it is also believed to include a 5-megapixel selfie camera, a quad-core processor, Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. Last year, Nokia had launched its Nokia X lineup of handsets.
