Moto X Play users in India start receiving Android 7.1 Nougat update

Motorola has started rolling out Android 7.1 Nougat for the Moto X Play. File Size: 760.6 MB Few of the key features to come with Nougat update are multi-window support which allows two apps to run simultaneously and double tap to switch between each. Next and very important is improved and enhanced battery life through work mode feature  which turns off the  phone's work apps when not in use. Moto X Play, which was launched at Rs 18,499 for the 16GB variant and Rs 19,999 for 32GB storage is now officially out of stock. The handset is powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm  Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB RAM. The phone supports expandable memory of up to 128GB via microSD card. Multi Window

Moto X Play will receive Android Nougat update by the end of the month

Motorola kept its promise and is still one of the fastest when it comes to updating its devices! Now we have official confirmation of the exact date you will see Android 7.0 Nougat in your Moto X Play.   The Android 7.0 Nougat is already available for the Moto Z, Z Force and Moto G4Phones, Nougat adds battery optimization, multi-screen support, security improvements and the new Motorola boot animation. Motorola Germany has just tweeted the official date of the new Android 7.0 update rollout for the Moto X Play. As you can see, the Moto X Play will get the update by the end of this month i.e. January! Currently we have no idea whether this update will be rolled out globally or not!

Nexus 5x, 6P devices started receiving final Android 7.1.1 release

It's been two weeks since Google began rolling out Official Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for Pixel and Nexus Devices, while users on the Android Beta Program have still been waiting for the final release. Well, here's a good news for Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P Users on the Android Beta Program. Google has started pushing out final Android 7.1.1 OTA update for Nexus 5X, 6P devices on Android Beta Program. The update costs 65.1MB for Nexus 5X and 26MB for Nexus 6P. If your device hasn't received the notification yet, just Check it out via Settings > About phone > System update.

Download Android 7.0 Nougat with November Security Patch for Moto G4 Plus

After a bunch of Soak tests, Motorola has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Moto G4 Plus in India. The new update contains Google's latest Android 7.0 Nougat, November Security Patch and bug fixes.  This update is rolling out in small batches, So not everyone will get the update right-away but it should reach your Motorola phone in the coming days. Thanks to XDA developer "jeash" for capturing the OTA link of the latest update. This update seems to be final Official build, as Motorola has already confirmed that Moto G4 Family will get Official Nougat in Mid-December. Google Pixel Update Rolling Out With Double-Tap and Lift-To-Wake

Google’s new Pixel smartphones received rave reviews at launch, but they also shipped without some much-wanted features found on their predecessors. Now, with an update pushed live for Canada owners today, the Pixel and Pixel XL have double-tap and raise-to-wake features. That way, you can tap two fingers on the device’s display to see alerts, or raise the phone to wake the screen and see notifications. These features were present in one form or another on previous Google devices like the Nexus 6P. So they’re a welcome addition to the Pixel family, especially considering Apple just introduced raise-to-wake in iOS 10, and the Pixel is being positioned as the perfect Android alternative to Apple’s smartphone. Android 7.0 Nougat update now rolling out to the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus in India

Lenovo has finally announced that the Moto G4 and G4 Plus smartphones will now start receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Motorola had earlier this month announced that it will start rolling out the Nougat update for devices starting in the fourth quarter of 2016, and that 15 devices will be receiving the update. Motorola had also announced the Android Nougat for its recently launched Moto Z series, but it appears that the update for that might still be in the works. “We are excited to announce a new software update for Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus by Motorola.
