Chiranjeevi's most awaited movie Khaidi No. 150 is going to release on January 11. It will be the first film to hit the marquee among the Sankranthi releases. Balakrishna’s 100th film Gautamiputra Satakarni is arriving on Jan 12. So Khaidi makers decided to release it a day ahead of GPS to cash in on the first in advantage. Team Khaidi No. 150 has been contemplating three dates (11, 12 and 13) until now, but the buyers demanded to release it early as they have invested high amounts.  It would be tough to recover the amount if the film directly clashes with GPS or release a day later. Chiranjeevi was reportedly convinced with the theory of buyers and agreed to release the movie on January 11. Coming in early will surely help Khaidi No. 150 to get record breaking openings in the domestic circuit, but a Wednesday release will affect its overseas numbers for sure. It is quite common that when big budget films are being made, the film makers take every care that there are no flaws. If necessary, they even go for reshooting of certain scenes if they feel they are not up to the expectations. The same thing is happening in case of Khaidi No. 150, the much-hyped 150th film of megastar Chiranjeevi, who is making a re-entry into the film industry with it. Director V V Vinayak has decided to do re-shooting of some scenes which he thought needed improvement. Since he is running short of time, the shooting schedule has been divided into two which are being supervised by two different units.  While Vinayak is taking care of shooting of some scenes which do not figure the megastar, the other scenes which Chiranjeevi has to redo are being reshot under his own supervision. Chiranjeevi is more than thirty years older than Kajal, who has done multiple films with his son Ram Charan. Chiranjeevi was trolled like hell on social media for zeroing in Kajal as the heroine.  Media made fun of megastar by saying that he would look like a grand dad of the actress. Is the Megastar planning to arrive earlier than planned? Buzz in the industry is that Chiranjeevi’s comeback film may arrive earlier than planned release on January 13. The latest date one is hearing in the industry is that of January 11th which would mean preponement by two days. It would be a Wednesday release as opposed to Friday release initially. There are two ways to look at this release date, one is positive and the other is negative. If we take the positive side, a Wednesday release will give the film a bigger release. It can release in any number of theaters and then aim for day 1 record in two Telugu states. On the negative side, there are two issues, first of all, the overseas numbers would be impacted due to mid-week release. Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan recently announced about the movie's release, and it has been scheduled to hit screens worldwide as a Sankranthi release on January 13 2017.

If the buzz from the film circles is to be believed, Raai Laxmi has been paid 40 lakh rupees for doing an item song in Khaidi No. 150. This is a very huge paycheck considering her popularity and demand. When top heroines like Tamanna and Shruti are being paid around 50 lakh for a special song, Raai Laxmi bagging 40 lakh is sensational. Producer Ram Charan was under pressure to find an immediate replacement for Catherine as the choreographer Lawrence was upset with her behavior.  Lawrence who is busy with his acting and direction assignments allotted five days for Chiranjeevi’s film just to be a part of Megastar’s landmark film. Producer Tandra Ramesh has bought the remake rights of the Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s super hit Khaidi.’Khaidi’ movie which was a turning point in Chiranjeevi’s career and gave him a fan following and is now being remade. ‘Khaidi’ was released on 28 October 1983 directed by Kodandarami Reddy and written by Paruchuri BrothersTandra Ramesh, who is currently producing Gopichand-Nayantara’s flick, has acquired the Telugu remake rights of Khaidi from the producers trio (Tirupathi Reddy, Dhananjay Reddy & Sudhakar Reddy) for a whopping amount. The film would go to the floors in the second half of 2013.Ram Charan might step into the shoes of his dad Chiranjeevi for the remake or any other hero will take up the film. But currently, the discussions are under progress.While Director Puri Jagannath and Mahesh Babu expressed keen interest to remake the film few months back, the fans of Megastar desparately wants Ram Charan to play the protagonist. Chiranjeevi’s superhit movie which brought him stardom,  Khaidi  title has been registered by producer K. Achi Reddy on his banner, Max India Productions.Now Achi Reddy is planning to cast Ramcharan in lead role and rope in a prominent director for this movie.Only characterization is planned to be similar to original and rest of the story etc will be changed to suit contemporary situations.More details about this project will be announced soon..
