Google Pixel, Pixel XL pre-orders kick off in India

Google’s new Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones went up for pre-orders at midnight in India. Both devices are listed on Flipkart with a bunch of offers, as well as, Croma’s online store. Prices for the smartphones start from Rs 57,000, and deliveries are expected to commence at the end of this month around October 26 according to the checkout page on Flipkart. Google has launched Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones in two variants each. The 32GB Pixel is priced at Rs  57,000, while the 128GB variant is priced at Rs 66,000. Prices for the Pixel XL, on the other hand, start from Rs 67,000 for the 32GB variant and go up to Rs 76,000 for the 128GB variant.  As far as color choices are concerned, buyers can opt from either Quite Black or Very Silver. Flipkart delivery boy steals 12 iPhones by defrauding employer

A Chennai-based Flipkart delivery agent has been arrested for stealing a number of iPhones from his employer, in a scheme he carried out for over a month before being caught. B Naveen (21), acquired a number of iPhone fakes, and set his plan into action. According to the New Indian Express, his idea was to place fake orders for iPhones in the Washermenpet area, where he was the foremost delivery agent. Upon receiving the iPhones, Naveen would swap them for the fakes in his possession and return them to the company, claiming the non-existent customers had returned them seeing as they were being cheated. Naveen managed to get a hold of 12 iPhones this way, before he slipped up. Naveen’s employer eventually noticed a disconcerting pattern, with an unusually high number of dissatisfied customers returning fake products in the Naveen’s area. Motorola smartphones no longer exclusive to Flipkart

Motorola is ending its exclusive partnership with Flipkart. The company has now decided to sell Moto series smartphones via other stores too. Starting with the Moto E 4G, now Indian customers can buy this Motorola smartphone from select Airtel stores, Amazon or even Snapdeal. Motorola entered into the Indian market with an exclusive partnership with Flipkart. Since February 2014, the company had sold 5.6 million Motorola smartphones in India through Flipkart. Flipkart Acquires Myntra for Rs. 2000 Crore

Flipkart  is currently one of the largest e-retailer in the Indian market and recently the company has  announcedthat  it has acquired Myntra for Rs. 2,000  crore . If reports are to be believed then it is being expected that Flipkart which has a valuation of $2.5 billion has merged its businesses with Myntra to compete Amazon in the Indian market. Apart from Amazon, eBay’s Snapdeal is also giving a tough competition in the marketplace.
