Telangana state IT minister KTR who was the chief guest at the pre release event of Dhruva has impressed everybody with his short yet striking speech. One moment that stood out to be the highlight of his speech was when he mentioned Pawan Kalyan’s name. The minister was stunned to witness a thunderous response from the crowd when he uttered Pawan Kalyan’s name.   KTR was visibly surprised to see the crowd go berserk after he mentioned Pawan Kalyan’s name and in reaction he said ‘waareva’. Interestingly, there was not much response when KTR mentioned Chiranjeevi or Charan’s name. Pawan fans have been chanting Power star’s name throughout the event and when they are shouting Pawan slogans during his speech, Allu Aravind stated that Pawan Kalyan will attend few events very soon. There have been reports about Pawan attending the audio launch of Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No. 150 and Allu Aravind has indirectly confirmed it.

The actor has reportedly been paid a very high remuneration to reprise the role he played in Tamil hit film, Thani Oruvan. Arvind Swamy, who made his comeback with the Tamil hit film Thani Oruvan is reprising the role in the film’s Telugu remake, Dhruva. The actor, who rose to fame with Mani Ratnam’s Roja, went on to work in many films till 2006 and after a long back made a comeback with Mani Ratnam’s Kadali, which didn’t do well at the box-office.  It was Thani Oruvan, where he played a stylish negative character that turned his career around. He is now getting many offers, one of them being the film’s Telugu remake. Though he charged a mere `50 lakh for the Tamil version, according to a source, he has taken `5 crore for the Telugu film. “Initially he didn’t want to repeat himself, but the Telugu makers insisted, and so he demanded a huge remuneration,” says a source. It remains to be seen how he will be received by the audiences.

The effect of demonetisation is showing severely on Tollywood industry. The release of much-awaited movie of Ram Charan Tej – ‘Dhruva’ will further get delayed, according to a source. It is learnt that the makers of Dhruva are worried about the collections in the first week if released during the prevailing chaos on currency notes in the country. However, the makers are planning a pre-release function on November 27th in Hyderabad.
