Pro-Telangana activists on Sunday attacked the office of Geeta Arts, a production firm owned by well-known film producer Allu Arvind, who is also the general secretary of K Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party (PRP). Raising slogans of “Jai Telangana”, a group of protesters attacked the office at the posh Jubilee Hills and hoisted a banner of ‘Telangana Youth Joint Action Committee’ on it. Police reached the scene and arrested the protesters. The latest attack has heightened security concerns in the film industry, dominated by coastal Andhra region. Police said the protesters had come from Mahabubnagar district. A furious Allu Arvind, brother-in-law of actor-turned politician Chiranjeevi, said it was the responsibility of all political parties to ensure that the Telangana agitation does not spark a war with people of other regions settled in Hyderabad. Chiranjeevi’s Son-In-Law Sirish Bharadwaj praises his brother-in-law Ram Charan in a TV show. He appeared along with Srija in ‘Nuvvu-Nenu’ on Gemini TV where Udayabhanu is the anchor. Telugu Cinema Industry’s biggest ever hit , Magadheera’s 100 days function was planned to be celebrated at Gachibowli Stadium in hyderabad this week but now due to recent attacks on movie units by TRS activists and also due to volatile situation in state, producer Allu Aravind has decided to cancel the 100 days celebrations. Movie Artists Association(MAA) has condemned the recent attacks on movie units shooting around hyderabad and submitted a request to home minister asking for police protection to their movie outdoor shootings. This is indeed a sad news for megafans who wanted to celebrate this event in big way.

Ramcharan Teja’s ORANGE movie has completed its first schedule in mumbai and the unit returned to hyderabad. They will return to mumbai in january 1st week. Genelia is playing main heroine and many speculations are on about second heroine of this movie. Kriti Khabanda, Shruti Hassan, Shammu and now Shazahn Padamsee is being considered for this role. She is daughter of famous theater personality Alyque Padamsee and pop diva Sharon Prabhakar. Shazahn Padamsee was recently seen as heroine in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Rocket Singh movie. Orange unit are expected to fly to australia in february for a 3 month schedule. Movie is planned for july 2010 release.

TRS activists are targetting all celebrities in telangana region who supported ‘United Andhra’ movement. Chiranjeevi has a farm house at Mumbaram Village of Jinnaram Mandal in Medak District, and yesterday Telangana activists have attacked that farmhouse and destroyed it. Telangana activists are creating havoc by throwing stones on shops, breaking vehicles on roads and attacking establishments related to Coastal and Rayalaseema celebrities. Even they did not spare ‘Andhra Bank’ as the name ‘Andhra’ is there, many branches in Telangana are being attacked and sign boards getting destructed. They also attacked Pawan Kalyan’s farmhouse at Janavada Kollu , which comes under Narsing police station limits. They managed to destroy glasses of windows and shouted ‘JAI TELANGANA’ slogans. Many other hotels and industries of costal andhrites were attacked in telangana.

Right now Chiranjeevi is busy touring andhra and rayalaseema areas but Chiru is also pulling out his time to complete his 150th movie. Chiru is willing to do this project in his own production and desires to act with his son Ram Charan in the same movie. Allu Arvind replied in a positive manner and said project will definitely take place but not that sooner. Soon there would be a treat by Megastar and Ram Charan. This is expected to start in late 2010 and release in mid 2011.

Hyderabad, Dec 16: Bowing to pressure from his Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) leaders in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions, Chiranjeevi Wednesday decided to resign from the assembly. Chiranjeevi, who represents Tirupati assembly constituency in Rayalaseema region, will announce his resignation in the temple town Thursday and join the movement against the proposed division of Andhra Pradesh, PRP leader K. Vidyadhar Rao said. The actor, who hails from coastal Andhra region, has done a volte-face on the issue of separate Telangana state and decided to join "samaikya Andhra" or United Andhra movement. Ever since launching his party at Tirupati last year, Chiranjeevi had been supporting the demand for a separate Telangana state. Fourteen of PRP's 18 legislators from Andhra and Rayalaseema have already submitted their resignations to the assembly speaker, opposing the central government's decision to initiate the process for the formation of Telangana state. Angry over Chiranjeevi’s volte-face on the issue of separate statehood to Telangana region, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and other groups Wednesday stopped screening of films featuring his son and other family members. Protesting the reported decision of Chiranjeevi to oppose the central government’s proposed move to form a separate Telangana state, the activists of TRS and other groups forcibly stopped screening of “Magadheera”, starring his son Ram Charan Teja, and “Arya 2″ starring Allu Arjun. Allu Arjun is son of Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) general secretary Allu Aravind, a well-known film producer and brother-in-law of Chiranjeevi. The managements of theatres in districts like Warangal and Nizamabad stopped the screening of their films anticipating protests from pro-Telangana groups. Megastar Chiranjeevi who is having hard sail in politics is now planning to construct a studio in Gandipet, this is in wake as every big family in industry have their own studio, looks like Chiranjeevi is making up his mind to construct a studio, if this works out then it would be another venture into which Chiru would be landing in. Chiranjeevi has bought around 26 acres of land in Gandipet. Some of his family members were cremated in the same area and Chiranjeevi will dedicate the studio to them. Pawan kalyan’s PULI unit are also planning to shoot their patch work and last set song in mumbai considering the possibilities of bandh in AP.
