You will find Google's "G" logo at the bottom.

Lenovo and Motorola have just teased a device announcement for Mobile World Congress next month, as they have just sent out an invite of sorts telling press to “save the date” for their upcoming press conference that is set to happen on February 26th. Although they don’t give much detail in the way of words, they do mention that it will be happening at 4:30PM local time in Barcelona, and those minor time and date details do come along with a picture that shows off the a rendered image of a smartphone so it’s likely that they will have a phone to show off at the event. This isn’t a direct confirmation, but it might as well be as this is about as close to a confirmation as it will get until Lenovo actually unveils something next month. Since the Moto Z family is still fairly new it’s a safe bet that what Lenovo and the Moto team have to show off will have nothing to do with this particular device series. Mobile World Congress is close to the time frame that the Moto G4 family of

Google will launch a Project Ara modular phone for consumers in 2017

Image
Google made one hell of an announcement, on the very last day of its I/O 2016 developer conference: Project Ara i finally coming to life! The tech giant made the announcement earlier today that developer versions for the modular smartphone will be shipping to developers later this year, and a consumer version will be ready for launch in 2017. Why is this a big deal you ask? Well, for the uninitiated, Project Ara has been a vision for Google’s experimental division for a few years now. The Advanced Technology and Products division, ATAP for short, has been on a mission to build the world’s first modular smartphone. Basically a Lego-like customisable phone, where you can swap out parts on the fly. Have to catch your child’s part in the school play on camera? Swap in a telephoto lens. Need something to do on a long trip? Maybe consider and e-ink display, or perhaps just a larger battery and a better loudspeaker module. The end-vision is that Google’s device will essentially be a sk

Use a laptop as a Wi-Fi repeater

Image
Almost all homes and offices today have an Internet connection either via a cable operator, telephone line or USB dongle. Sharing a single Internet connection with all other wireless-enabled devices at home or office requires a wireless router and these are available for as little as Rs. 1,000. But wireless routers are usually stationed at home or office and cannot be carried around because of the power requirements. There are times when you go on a holiday or travel around and need an Internet connection. USB 3G Internet dongles serve the purpose of an Internet connection whilst you are outdoors, but this connection is only available on your laptop or a tablet that has USB internet dongle compatibility. But what if you want your mobile or iPad also connected to the Internet at the same time? The Internet connectivity needs to be shared and a router is the only possibility. In this case, you will share the network connection of your laptop with the other devices and Ad-Hoc connectivity
