Get to know about Google Pixel 2 concept

Image
Last year, Google gave us the first two  Pixel  Smartphones i.e. Pixel with 5" Display and Pixel XL with 5.5" Display, with some extra Artificial intelligence in the form of the fledgling Google Assistant.  Both Google Pixel and Pixel XL were great devices but things like water resistance and an orignal design were left out because they ran out of time.  For 2017, Google has already decided and is all set to really show their vision for the highest-end Android phones.    Now, Designer Milineam N from behance has come up with an exciting new concept of Google's next flagship. Take a look-   This new concept shows 2017 Google's Phone with a all-glass back and a metal uni-body structure.    To the back, we have a centered  sensors and dual microphone  followed by  Camera and fingerprint sensor. You will find Google's "G" logo at the bottom.

Google Pixel Update Rolling Out With Double-Tap and Lift-To-Wake

Image
Google’s new Pixel smartphones received rave reviews at launch, but they also shipped without some much-wanted features found on their predecessors. Now, with an update pushed live for Canada owners today, the Pixel and Pixel XL have double-tap and raise-to-wake features. That way, you can tap two fingers on the device’s display to see alerts, or raise the phone to wake the screen and see notifications. These features were present in one form or another on previous Google devices like the Nexus 6P. So they’re a welcome addition to the Pixel family, especially considering Apple just introduced raise-to-wake in iOS 10, and the Pixel is being positioned as the perfect Android alternative to Apple’s smartphone. It’s unclear when Google will release the features for US or international Pixel owners, but we can expect it some time soon. To turn these features on, head over to the “Moves” section in the general settings panel. There you should find “Double-tap to check phone” and “Lif

Google Launching WebVR for Android Chrome in January

Image
Google plans to ship a public version of Chrome on Android with support for WebVR 1.1The company plans to launch a beta in December with a stable release planned for January. WebVR in the “stable” release means that it’ll make its way into the same Chrome browser app that everyone on Android sees in the Google Play store. What this means is that the browser will allow users to pop their phone into a Cardboard or Daydream headset to experience VR web content straight through Chrome, without the need to download individual apps.Megan Lindsay, WebVR Product Manager at Google, noted that the company is continuing work on the Chrome ‘VR Shell’ that will allow 2D websites not built for WebVR to be browsed in VR. That’s planned for the first half of 2017 on Chrome for Android, and later in 2017 for the desktop browser. Microsoft has also announced that they are bringing WebVR to Microsoft Edge.

How To Use Hangouts On Google Pixel And Pixel XL

Image
The Pixel ships with Android 7.1, Google's latest version of Nougat that includes a number of improvements. But some Pixel owners may find a surprising omission when they load up the Pixel for the first time: a lack of Google Hangouts. Some versions of the Pixel are shipping with Hangouts installed on the device but disabled, as Google tries to push people towards its new chat app, Allo. But if you, like me, are one of the remaining Hangouts diehards, here's how to re-enable it and get back to your old habits. How to enable Hangouts on the Pixel On the home screen, swipe down from the notification shade. Tap on the Settings cog. Scroll down and tap on Apps. Scroll down and tap on Hangouts. Tap Enable. After that, you can head to the Play Store and update the app to the latest version. That's it! Now you can get back to using Hangouts and ignoring Allo, like the good ol' days.

Google wallpapers app launched for all Android phones

Image
Google has just launched its own Wallpapers app, which is basically a spin-off from the wallpaper picker that’s included in the launcher for the company’s new Pixel and Pixel XLsmartphones. The app allows users to pick new wallpapers based on their own stored photos, or ones found on Google Earth, Google+ and more sources. If you pick a favorite category from the app, you can choose to have a new wallpaper image placed on your phone every day. If you own one of the very few phones that has Android 7.0 Nougat installed, the wallpapers app has an extra feature that will allow users to set up one image for the smartphone’s lock screen, and another for the phone’s main home screen. While this is not in any way a revolutionary app from Google, it is nice that the company is allowing all Android phones to share in one of the features that was first thought to be a Pixel exclusive. Google Pixel, Pixel XL launched: Price, specifications, features

Image
The rumor mills can now take a break as Google has finally taken the wraps off its Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones at the ongoing event in San Francisco. With today’s launch, the Nexus lineup is officially dead, and the Pixel lineup is quintessentially Google. Though manufactured by HTC, both smartphones feature the ‘G’ logo and are touted as ‘Made by Google’. The overall design and looks are in line with what has leaked before. Unlike before, both the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones look and feel the same, and they are only differentiated on the basis of size. With the new Pixel smartphones, Google isn’t involved in the specifications race like the other Android companies. Instead, the company is following Apple’s rulebook by taking control over both the hardware and software part of the Pixel smartphones. But the question is, can it be as successful? Google is now using the new smartphones to show-off what its software and services are capable of. Unlike Nexus, the Pixel sma

Google Station for WiFi, YouTube Go app and more: Top announcements from Google's event

Image
The Google for India event was held today in New Delhi and Google had some major announcements to be made public. This event was particularly special as Google turned 18 years old today. At a similar event held last year, Google had announced the Google Wi-Fi project which aimed at providing Wi-Fi connectivity at railway stations across India. This year, Google had much more to announce. Here are all the announcements made at the Google for India event. Google Station Last year’s Google Wi-Fi project is now active at 52 railway stations across India where Google claims 3.5 million people each month avail the service with as many as 15,000 new users being added every month. With Google Station, Google now plans to take this Wi-Fi connectivity to other places such as malls, bus stops, shopping complexes, cafes, university campuses etc. Google with partner with suitable partners to roll out Wi-Fi hotspots in public spaces and will then provide the adequate measures to generate

Google Allo is Finally Rolling Out In The Play Store

Image
Google said Allo would be available at some point during the summer, and it's getting in right under the wire. The new chat application is now official, and it's starting to pop up in the Play Store for download. Don't fret if it's not showing up for you quite yet; we have the APK ready for download. If you need a refresher on features, Google has a handy promo video (below) and a  landing page  that hits all the high points. Allo is connected to your phone number, and it's designed for phones only (at least right now). All your contacts that use Allo will automatically show up, and those who don't can be invited to download the app. They're probably all the ones you just convinced to start using Hangouts a few months ago. Oh well. The centerpiece of Allo is the Google Assistant, which will be a big part of Android (and Google in general) going forward. It offers (allegedly) useful information and links using contextual information and natura

Google Pixel and Pixel XL will replace Google's 2016 Nexus flagship

Image
Speaking to two independent sources, we now strongly believe that Google's formerly-maybe-Nexus-phones, Marlin and Sailfish, will be marketed as the Pixel and the Pixel XL. We do not have pricing information. At this time, it is unknown to us when Google decided to shift its in-house smartphone brand from Nexus to Pixel or why (though speculation will likely run wild). The Pixel will be the 5" Sailfish device, while Pixel XL will be the 5.5" Marlin. As to our confidence in this information: given that our two sources are independent, and the fact that one in particular has been exceptionally reliable in the past, we feel comfortable saying you can take this to the bank. Coupled with Android Central's breaking story on Tuesday that the phones would not be branded as Nexuses - what else could they even be branded as? Some will say that Marlin and Sailfish's specifications and HTC manufacture don't live up to the "premium" image that the Pix
