Motorola smartphones no longer exclusive to Flipkart

Motorola is ending its exclusive partnership with Flipkart. The company has now decided to sell Moto series smartphones via other stores too. Starting with the Moto E 4G, now Indian customers can buy this Motorola smartphone from select Airtel stores, Amazon or even Snapdeal.





Motorola entered into the Indian market with an exclusive partnership with Flipkart. Since February 2014, the company had sold 5.6 million Motorola smartphones in India through Flipkart. Now it is aiming towards more broader audience, buy making these smartphones available via other stores.

“Responding to growing demand from our consumers we have made a strategic move of increasing the availability of our portfolio across offline and multiple online shopping platforms.” said, Amit Boni, General Manager of Motorola Mobility India. “To start off, we will be available at select stores for our consumers to experience and purchase the device. Consumers are at the heart of whatever we do and we will leave no stone unturned to enhance their buying experiences.”
