Motorola Moto E gets a price cut, now available for Rs 5,999 on Flipkart

Keeping the growing competition in affordable smartphone category in mind, Motorola seems to have slashed the price of its insanely popular dirt-cheap handset Moto E in India. While the company is yet to officially announce the price revision, the handset, which typically retails at Rs 6,999 is now available for purchase for Rs 5,999 through Flipkart.
Motorola launched the Moto E handset in India in May last year. The smartphone — just like the rest of the Moto handsets is exclusively available through online shopping portal Flipkart in the country. As for the specifications, it flaunts a 4.3-inch qHD display (960×540 pixels) with a pixel density of 256ppi and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Other features of the handset include a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor which comes paired with 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage with support for microSD card. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera, but unfortunately, misses a front-facing shooter. The dual-SIM capable handset supports 3G, Wi-Fi, and packs in 1,980mAh battery.
The price revision of the handset suggests that Motorola may have Moto E’s successor in mind. The company refreshed its Moto X and Moto G lineup last year, but didn’t offer a refresh to the Moto E handset.
