HP unveils its first 5K Display along with curved and 4K displays at CES 2015
After NVIDIA kicked off CES 2015 with its new powerful Tegra X1 superchip, HP has finally unveiled its new range of displays. The company is adding some great high-resolution displays in its portfolio. HP has today unveiled two 4K models, along with its first 5K Display. The company is also entering into the curved displays market with its very own curved display based monitor.
The HP Z24s and Z27s are its two 4K based models which packs a display size of 23.8-inch and 27-inch respectively. The aspect ratio is of 16:9 and as we told in the beginning, they both feature 4K resolution. The HP Z24S, which is also the smaller model in these two displays, has a pixel density of 185ppi, while on the other hand the larger model packs 163ppi. If you want to compare it, then let me tell you that the current 15-inch MacBook Pro comes with a pixel density of 220 ppi. Along with that, both of these models comes with 4 USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and Mini Display Port. The price of Z24s is $549 and it will be available for purchase in the month of April, while the Z27s will be available later this month with the price tag of $749.
The 5K display is dubbed as Z27q and it is of 27-inch in size, with 16:9 aspect ration 218ppi pixel density and 4 USB 3.0 ports. It will be on sale starting March with the price tag of $1,299.
Now coming to the beautiful display. The HP Envy 34c curved display, looks very attractive and has a display size of 34-inches. The resolution is of 3440 x 1440 pixels with aspect ratio of 21:9. HP says that this display has been designed in a way that it will reduce the reflectiveness, so you will not feel any difficulties while using it. The company has also added speakers inside the display. It will be available for purchase starting April for $999.
