Motorola Moto E gets a price cut, now available for Rs 5,999 on Flipkart

The smartphone — just like the rest of the Moto handsets is exclusively available through online shopping portal Flipkart in the country. Moto G 2nd gen spotted running Android 5.1

Image
It’s logical enough that Google is and has been for some time working on a release version of the next Android. It was speculated that this would be Android 5.1 Lollipop and we have now seen what might be a pre-release version of this new Android version. Now, a second generation Motorola Moto G has been spotted running Lollipop 5.1 (not the device showing above, which is a Moto X). It’s interesting that it is being tested on a Moto G rather than a Nexus device, which might suggest that Google’s testing has progressed to providing the manufacturers with the code. What could be included in Android 5.1 Lollipop? The most important features are likely going to be resolutions to existing conditions and problems. One is the memory leak problem present in all versions of Android 5.0.x; this is what causes our devices to decelerate in use after a day or so, then we start to see applications crash-closing by themselves and other words behaviour. Another big to be crushed is the WiFi batter

Motorola Moto G (2014) LTE variant launched

Image
Motorola introduced the 4G LTE version of the 2013-launched Moto G. Motorola then released the 2014 Moto G but unfortunately that phone did not come with 4G LTE connectivity, which we thought was a little odd. However a recent leak by an online retailer a couple of weeks ago suggested that a LTE version could be on its way, and sure enough it has arrived. The 4G LTE version of the Moto G (2014) has made an appearance on Motorola Brazil’s website where customers are already able to purchase the handset. No word on when Motorola will be bringing that particular version stateside or to international markets, but we will be keeping our eyes peeled all the same. The hardware specs of the 4G LTE model are more or less the same as the 2014 Moto G model. However there are some differences and one of them is how Motorola has decided to keep the dual SIM variant, giving it 4G LTE connectivity in the process. Motorola has also bumped its battery life to a slightly larger 2,390mAh ba

Sources said that only these two smartphones took up half of the total sales in 2014. The Moto G has already started receiving Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update which has made a positive impression on the company and is attracting more users to consider Motorola smartphones. During Q3 2014, Motorola was the fifth largest smartphone manufacturer in India, trailing behind Samsung, Micromax and other homegrown manufacturers like Lava and Karbonn. Motorola is already preparing for an even better year by opening up
