Moto E Lollipop Update Now In Soak Test

After updating first and second-generation Moto G in India, Motorola is now planning to update Moto E devices. Lollipop soak test updates has been recently started by Motorola in India.

The emails to confirm the participation in Moto E soak test started arriving on February 4. Motorola will release the final Android 5.0.2 update for all Moto E users in India in the coming months.

For those who are unaware of what is soak tests, it is preliminary update, it is released to a small group of people to test whether the update is working fine on user phones. If major problems are found in the update, Motorola fixes them and then rolls out a second soak test update, which, if working fine, is then released to all users. In most cases, this test updates go without issues and the actual roll-out begins soon after the soak test.

Moto E is expected to get directly updated to Android 5.0.2 like Moto G we will let you all know as soon as the Lollipop update for Moto E is released publicly
