Pawan Kalyan’s movie Komaram Puli is still under legal issues.This time its a warning from telangana freedom fighter Komaram Bheem’s grandson Komaram Soniram.He demanded that the title of Pawan’s movie should be changed as they have no rights to use his grandfather’s name and also his surname for a commercial movie. A case is filed in Chennai Court ordered on 3rd September 2010 to stop the release of Komaram Puli of Pawan Kalyan.Chennai based Production unit (Ravi Prasad Unit) requested stay order from the court on release of the film Komaram Puli.He claims that the producer has failed to clear their bills. “Producer Singanamala Ramesh gave us a check for Rs 2 Crores but it was not honored” said Ravi Prasad.Court did not grant stay order but hearing is on tuesday, 7th september.Meanwhile producer Singanamala Ramesh is trying to resolve this issue and make the release possible on 9th september. Pawan Kalyan’s KOMARAM PULI is ready last month itself but got postponed because geetha arts owner Allu Aravind who got distribution rights of this movie was not willing to pay extra money to producer singanamala ramesh babu as cost of production increased.As a distributor he was right in deciding the price and now as a compromise they decided to increase price of tickets from next week to make more revenue.But geetha arts booked second grade theatres in many districts for this first grade movie.When many other movies coming in next 5-6 weeks booked best screens in state, Puli which was planned much earlier was not given its right share.Moreover, Allu Arvind who participated in Pawan Kalyan’s birthday celebrations spoke to media said – Komaram Puli is produced by Singamala Ramesh on Kanakarathna Movies banner and the producer asked me to assist in releasing the film, so I have arranged the theatres and I will release the film with in 24 hours time after getting the prints

Finally its decided in favour of big producers only.AP government decided to hike ticket prices at all movie theatres from september 2nd week.This will come in effect from september 9th when Komaram Puli releases. Minimum price will be raised from Rs.10 to Rs.25 and Balcony ticket will go up from Rs.50 to Rs.75.This may be good news for big budget movie producers who make movies with heroes who have strong fansbase as they will recover maximum money through openings.But small time producers and low budget movies will get badly effected as many are not willing to spend Rs.75 per head on such movies.This may in turn increase piracy in telugu movie industry causing much more losses.After this we may not see any movie celebrating 100 days in theatres and even 50 days celebrations will become rare.Multiplexes are left with a choice to raise their price or not. Komaram Puli’s director S.J.Suryah confirmed to media that the rumours about movie’s missing footage is false and everything is right and its releasing on september 9th.Last evening ABN-Andhrajyothy channel reported that 15 minutes of edited footage in the movie is now missing and it cannot be reshooted.Also movie will not release this month and ROBOT, Khaleja will come ahead of Puli.But later in pressmeet Suryah clarified that these rumours are false and asked media to confirm facts before they telecast any news. Komaram Puli is ready for release but got delayed not because of postproduction issues but because of financial matter involved.Producer Singanamala Ramesh Babu sold the movie’s nizam area distribution rights to geetha arts last year and now releasing in few other areas on his own through their network.But since the movie got delayed a lot in making and cost of production increased, he demanded more money from Allu Aravind for which he got rejected.But now as a compromise, Aravind is using his influence to get the balcony ticket rate raised to Rs.75 from Rs.50 and other ticket rates too proportionally.This will help him recover all his investment within less time.But since this will effect many other small movies, other producers met information and broadcasting minister Geetha Reddy and requested to bring back ticket rate to Rs.35 as it was in 2008.Only after this issue is resolved by government, Komaram Puli will release.
