Yu Yureka gets first OTA software update with bug fixes

The software is about 74MB in size, and doesn’t really introduce a lot of major changes. Instead the changelog mentions that there are fixes security, and improvements to the proximity sensor and dual-SIM functionality.

As mentioned above, this is an OTA update, so you should receive a notification. Alternatively, you can also head to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update.

The Yureka was on sale for the fourth time earlier today via Amazon India, and 15,000 smartphone units were sold out in just four seconds. In total, Yu has sold 50,000 Yurekas in India since its launch in December last year.

The Yu Yureka is popular thanks to the set of specifications and LTE connectivity it offers at Rs 8,999. To recap, it sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 64-bit capability and paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features 16GB internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card.

Furthermore, the smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,500mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on CyanogenMod OS 11 based on Android KitKat.</div>
