Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for Windows 7 and 8.1 users

In a surprise move, Microsoft has announced that its upcoming Windows 10 Operating System will be a free upgrade for all Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users. The company says for the first year of Windows 10 launch, the interested Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users will be able to upgrade their computer to Microsoft’s latest and major Windows update free of cost. The company says that with this move it will be bringing all the old Windows devices on the same line. Which in other words means that, Windows Developers will be able to focus on greater audience.

 While the company hasn’t revealed how it will be providing the update. But seeing the recent Windows 8.1 Update plan we think that it will just make it available free of cost on Windows 7 and 8.1 devices. Microsoft is also promising to provide latest updates to throughout the “supported lifetime for the device.”
