Lava Iris Alfa with quad core processor launched at Rs 6550

Lava has today launched a new low cost Android smartphone in the Indian market. Dubbed as Lava Iris Alfa, the smartphone packs a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and packs a 5-inch of FWVGA IPS Full Lamination display screen. The price of Iris Alfa is Rs. 6,550, which clearly matches the specifications. Lava Iris Alfa display resolution is 854 x 480 pixels, which is bad. But it has 1GB of RAM and quad-core processor, the Operating System is also Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which doesn’t require much memory. So, this means that this smartphone will offer good performance and there will be no lag. Other features include 8GB of Internal Storage with 32GB of expandable memory via a microSD card slot, Dual-SIM connectivity, 5MP of rear camera with LED flash and VGA front facing camera.

The Iris Alfa has 2200 mAh battery inside and supports 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. Lava Iris Alfa is currently one of the cheapest 5-inch quad-core powered smartphone in India. The company says that it will be available for purchase starting today in different parts of India along with online.
