Micromax Yureka Vs. Xiaomi Redmi Note: Buying The Best Smartphone
Micromax recently launched its Yureka smartphone, this phone will clearly woo price-conscious buyers but it is also hoping to halt the spectacular march of Xiaomi, a Chinese company that has created a lot of buzz in the Indian market with its aggressively priced phones.
We have compared Micromax Yureka and Xiaomi Redmi Note, both are priced at Rs. 8,999.
- Design:
The Micromax Yureka does take cues from the designs of the OnePlus One but it also follows the design trend of budget friendly Micromax devices. The back is glossy and is made of plastic.
While on the other hand Redmi note resembles a super-size version of redmi 1S. The back is glossy white plastic.
2.Display:
Both of the devices have a 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 1280*720 while Yureka also has a Gorilla Glass 3 on top of it for protection.
3.Hardware:
Micromax Yureka has a 1.5 GHz octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, on the other hand Redmi note has a 1.7 GHz octa-core MT6592 processor.
Yureka has 16 GB of internal memory while note has 8 GB, both have 2 GB of RAM.
- Software:
Micromax Yureka run cyanogen mod 11 skinned on top of Android 4.4 KitKat, and Micromax has promised Lollipop update within a month or so.
The Redmi note runs the older Android Jellybean OS.
- Camera:
Both of them have a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera, but still the camera on Yureka is better as it have Sony EXMOR CMOS sensor at the back shooter and wide angle lenses at the front camera for the selfies.
- Verdict:
We recommend you to go with the Micromax Yureka as it has a little better specification than Xaiomi Redmi note and CyanogenMod is a lot better than MIUI. You will get the latest Android Updates too.
