Xbox One to not support 3D Blu-ray playback at the time of launch

If you are thinking whether Microsoft’s new Xbox One console will support 3D Blu-Ray Movies or not ? Then here is what Microsoft wants to say. Back in May, Director of Xbox Programming, Larry Hryb confirmed that Xbox One will include 3D and 4K support, but recently his company has confirmed to CNET that this next-generation console will be not shipping with 3D Blu-ray playback capability. The company might prefer to bring this feature via an update later on, but currently there will be no support for 3D Blu-ray playback. While, Sony’s next generation console PlayStation 4 is confirmed to ship with 3D Blu-ray playback support (however you will require a 1.50 firmware update and a one-time activation). There is currently no 4K output in PS4, but Sony is planning to add support for 4K still images and videos to its console.
