Sony Xperia Z1 Dust and Water Resistant with 20MP Camera
Sony finally took the wraps off the much-anticipated Sony Xperia Z1 at the press event in Berlin. We saw a number of teasers claiming the device to the best Sony has to offer in a smartphone. Well, it seems as if all these claims were true after all as Sony Xperia Z1 lives up to its expectations. Without further talking, let’s just move on to see what makes it the best of Sony.
Starting with the display, Sony Xperia Z1 comes with a 5-inch Full HD TRILUMINOS display boasting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and X-Reality for mobile. The X-Reality display analyzes each image and optimizes the quality to deliver the highest quality videos to the user. Next, Sony Xperia Z1 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 800 quad-core chipset with a clock speed of 2.2GHz. The device offers users with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with microSD card support of up to 64GB or more if needed. The phone features a slim and attractive design with 144 x 74 x 8.5 mm and weighing only 170 grams. The device also supports 4G LTE, NFC, WiFi, WiFi hotspot and Bluetooth.
Sony Xperia Z1 comes with a 3,000 mAh battery that is capable of delivering a talk-time of up to 830 minutes with 880 hours of standby time on GSM, almost 7 hours of video playback and 110 hours of music listening time. This is pretty impressive and you can rest assured that you will not run out of juice.
Sony Xperia Z1 comes with one of the most impressive camera a smartphone can get. The device is equipped with a 1/ 2.3-type 20.7 megapixel Exmor RS CMOS image sensor. Xperia Z1 features Sony’s award-winning G Lens with 27mm wide angle and bright F2.0 aperture and a BIONZ for mobile image processing engine. The combination of these technologies provides users with the same quality and performance delivered by a digital camera. There is a dedicated camera key that can help users snap photos on the go.
Sony Xperia Z1 comes with Sony’s Omnibalance design and a solid one-piece aluminum frame with tampered glass on front and back. The device is dust and water-resistant with IP55 and IP58 certification. The device comes in three different colors: black, white and purple.
