PRP president K.Chiranjeevi was touring Vantada village of East Godavari on Tuesday, to meet villagers and tribals effected by illegal mining of laterite ore.While he was talking to villagers, they suddenly panicked as on seeing a poisonous viper snake (Katla paamu) on tree branches.They alerted Chiru and asked him to move out as it has bitten many in past who died.But Chiru was unmoved and commented that “Snakes will bite only those who try to cause harm to them. Otherwise they don’t bite.”Neither Chiru nor viper moved until the meeting is over.After Chiru left, villagers commented that snake left him because he himself if Punnami Naagu.
