Komaram Puli title controversy

Komaram Puli team is working hard to finish the movie by next week and get it censored, but a new controversy seems to be building up because of its title.Adivasis feel that their leader and fighter Komaram Bheem, who died fighting for them against Nizam’s Razakars will be insulted if his surname Komaram is used for a commercial, dance and fight movie of Pawan Kalyan. Also few telangana activists are protesting against this title usage for Pawan’s movie as his elder brother Chiranjeevi supported united andhra pradesh and opposed their aspiration of seperate telangana.Mesram Bapurao, leader of Telangana Adivasi Upa Kulala Ikya Vedika, said the word Komaram was popular and associated with tribal legendary Komuram Bheem who was killed fighting with the Nizam forces. “The word ‘Komaram’ was the name of a clan in the Adivasis and using that word for film is nothing but insulting the Adivasi culture and tradition,” he said.Bapurao said Adivasi would not tolerate any move to degrade the tribal legendary Komaram Bheem who became synonymous for the fight.Adivasi leaders are likely to approach A.P Film Censor Board to appeal to stop the movie from releasing.
