Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 likely to be launched on 15th January

There has been lot of leaks, rumors and reports regarding Xiaomi’s upcoming devices recently, and then its CEO even announced that the company will launch their new flagship handset this month. They will also release an upgraded dual-LTE version of the Redmi 1S on January 4. It’s not all though, Redmi Note 2 will also be coming soon. January 15th was mentioned several time in reports when Xiaomi will launch something, we guess either the Mi5 or the Redmi Note 2 on that date, while the latest report claims that the Redmi Note 2 will get launched. According to leaks, this handset will have a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. MediaTek’s MT6752 or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 SoC will power this device and running on Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI 6 OS on top of it, a 13-megapixel shooter on the back, and a 5-megapixel in front. We believe Xiaomi will keep the price as low as it should be, the report says it will cost 899 Yuan, which is approximately $145.
