Official Facebook and Flipboard apps for Windows 8 coming soon

During a private session at Build 2013 Annual Developer Conference, Microsoft has revealed the existence of Official Facebook and Flipboard application on 8-inch Acer device. And finally few minutes ago, Steve Ballmer announced both these applications will be coming in Windows 8.1. Microsoft’s CEO, Steve Ballmer has said that the Facebook has long focused on connecting people and with the release of new Windows 8 app, it will be “an exciting way to enhance that vision.” But he doesn’t revealed any exact release date, when the Facebook App will be made available on Windows Store. While on the other hand, Flipboard released some information regarding it’s upcoming Windows 8 app in a blog post. The company also released a nine-second teaser video showing off the first look of Flipboard for Windows 8.
