Install Android 4.3 Jelly Bean leaked firmware on Galaxy S III
Recently we shared a story about the leaked Android 4.3 firmware for Samsung Galaxy S III and we also promised to provide a step-by-step guide on how to install this leaked firmware on your S3. So, we are fulfilling that and below is the full tutorial which will tell you how you can flash the custom ROM on your Galaxy S III. Thanks to sammobile for providing this leaked firmware.
Please Note: We highly recommend you to backup all your data before flashing as this firmware will WIPE your device and it is not the official firmware, it is a test build of upcoming Android 4.3 Update.
HOW TO FLASH CUSTOM ROM ON GALAXY S III
- First of all go and download the required firmware file from here and after downloading extract it anywhere.
- Now you have to download the Odin 3 v3.09 file from here.
- Extract the download Odin zip file anywhere on your computer.
- Now you have to open the Odin3 v3.09.
- You have to restart your Galaxy S3 in the download mode, so to do that Press and Hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons.
- Now Connect your phone to the computer and wait until you see a blue sign in Odin.
- Add AP_I9300XXUGMJ9_1902166_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to AP
- Add BL_I9300XXUGMJ9_1902166_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to BL
- Add MODEM_I9300BUUGMJ3_REV02_REV04_CL1413323.tar.md5 to CP
- Add CSC_VFG_I9300VFGGMJ5_1986192_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to CSC
- Please be sure re-partition is not ticked
- Now you have to Click on the Start button and wait a few minutes.
- If you encounter any issues with the firmware (Any FC, Bootloop etc)
- Boot into recovery mode (Home+power+vol up)
- Choose to wipe/factory reset. (THIS WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA INCLUDING YOUR INTERNAL SD CARD!)
- Then choose reboot and you are done.
