With Anushka in the title role, the forthcoming big-budget historical film Rudrama Devi in the direction of Gunasekhar has commenced the shooting schedules from April 27 today. The shoot is taking place in a huge arena set in Hyderabad replicating the famous Waranagal fort since the story is set in Kakatiya dynasty Pivotal scenes involving Anushka are being shot in the present schedule shoot. Rana will be seen in the role of Chalakya Veerabadrudu while Prakash Raj as Siva Devayya and Beba Sehgal as Nagadevudu. Other cast of the movie includes Krishnam Raju, Tanikella Bharani, Krishna Bhagawan, Venu Madhav, Jayaprakash Reddy and Aditya Menon Rudrama Devi is also being produced by Gunasekhar with musical scores by Maestro Ilayaraja. The film is being made in 3D format.

Ravi Teja, whose films have generally fared well at the box office, had a set back with his last release Saarocharu. His earlier films Veera, Nippu & Devudu Chesina Manushulu also did not meet the expectations of the audience. On the other hand, Meher Ramesh who is running on style rather than subject always failed to reach the expectations of the audience. Meher Ramesh;s recent release Shadow with Venkatesh failed receive positive response from the critics and the audience. According to latest information Meher is getting ready to show his Power with Mass Raja Raviteja. Successful Seema Tapakai producer Malla Vijaya Prasad is teaming up with Director Meher Ramesh. The script work of this film is going on in brisk pace. Looks like, there’s no stopping for Meher Ramesh even after Victory Venkatesh’s Shadow flunk at box office. Movie Makers are planning to complete movie in single schedule.

After the release of Koratala Siva directed Mirchi, Ram Charan has given his nod for the new film and the script work of the movie is under progress. The latest news is the film is set for a launch on May 9 as per the latest reports. The film is touted to be a commercial mass entertainer. Ram Charan is currently busy with the shooting schedules of Vamsi Paidipally directed Yevadu while his other film Ram Charan starrer Zanjeer [Toofan in Telugu] has reached the final leg of shoot. Other details of the cast and crew of Ram Charan, Koratala Siva are yet to be revealed.

Punjabi Kudi Tapsee who with her Delhi looks delighted and tempted Tollywood with her glamor treat till now couldn't score a hit in the industry. However she has been lucky enough as influential families and production houses prefering her. Her recent venture Shadow where she romanced Victory Venkatesh, sank even before the release and after the release it got disastrous reviews. Now many feel time is running out for Tapsee and curtains are closing on her career in the industry as she already has 6 flops in her name. Her Bollywood film Chashme Buddoor did quite well and she hoped that her luck would change in Tollywood but she recieved a shock in form of Shadow even though she crossed her limits in flaunting her beauty. Manny feel that it is the effect of her 'leg' and she will soon be branded 'Iron Leg'
