WhatsApp releases its official web client for Chrome and Android

After long rumors and leaks, WhatsApp has finally released the desktop version of its service. Which means that now users will be able to access WhatsApp on their computer. The company has released its new “WhatsApp Web” service for Google Chrome and Android Users. It is yet to come for the iOS users.

Those who are interested can now access the web version at web.whatsapp.com. But the important thing is that you will still need your phone. Your phone should be connected to the web, then only this web client will work. All your messages will be still on your phone, but the company things that this new web client will be best for those who spend most of their time in front of a computer at work or home.

WhatsApp is currently one of the largest chat clients in the world. With more than 600 million users, the company is now focusing towards more audience. This move will help WhatsApp to reach more users and increase the monthly active user number.
