How to Install Unofficial Android 4.4 KitKat on Nexus 4 & Nexus 7
Nexus 5 and the new Android 4.4 KitKat is currently a hot topic for discussion and Google has already announced that Android KitKat will be soon rolling out to its old Nexus devices which includes Nexus 4, 7 and 10. But if you are among those who don’t want to wait for the official OTA updates, then here is something interesting for you. A great thanks to Paranoid Android team at XDA for making this possible. The team has recently released an early AOSP based Android 4.4 KitKat ROM for Nexus 4 and 7 users.
But as it is currently in its early builds, so it includes some bugs and issues. However it seems to be a usable build, as various users on the forums are happy with this ROM.
WHAT WE NEED:
- A custom recovery for example ClockworkMod or TWRP installed in your device. Please note that if you are having Nexus 7 2012 model, then it will be good to have TWRP 2.6.3 or later, as many users are complaining about different issues with ClockworkMod flashing.
- Download Required AOSP 4.4 ROM
- The Latest Google Apps Package, which you can download from here..
