Pawan Kalyan’s KOMARAM PULI is ruling the telugu box office collections this week.Despite producer’s inexperience, lack of planning, late release of prints to many centers including overseas, midnight fanshows cancelled, divided talk in many areas, bad reviews by media, PULI managed to collected more than 7 crores on day 1 itself.Next 2 days being holidays and all shows housefull in all areas, it is expected that atleast 6 crores more will be added by sunday night.So total first weekend collections of Komaram Puli will be almost 13 crores or above.This itself is a new record in tollywood. Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s latest release KOMARAM PULI collected Rs 7.2 crores on day 1 itself despite divided talk.This movie is expected to break records of first week collections too as it was released on a long holiday weekend.Collections (district/area wise) : Nizam-1.88 cr , Guntur–65 lakhs, Krishna–42 Lakhs, West–41 Lakhs, East–51 Lakhs,Chithoor–36 Lakhs(Gross) Kadapa – 10 Lakhs, Nellore – 28 Lakhs, Kurnool – 8.6 Lakhs, Anantapur – 8.6 Lakhs, Rajampeta – 2.65 Lakhs Overall collections are Rs 7.2 crores where as Jalsa collected 7.5 crores on day 1 itself. Prajarajyam chief K.Chiranjeevi claimed that he has solid proofs that osmania university student leaders asked him money to stop protesting against KOMARAM PULI movie.He said that he recieved SMS from them asking for kickbacks and he will prove it when needed.But he challenged that if it is proved in public, will they quit telangana movement and support ‘samaikyandhra’ ?There was no response from telangana JAC to this challenge but they filed a defamatory case against chiranjeevi in O.U campus police station.Close on Mr Chiranjeevi’s remarks, Ms Sobha Rani, former PR Mahila chief, on Saturday said it was a fact that money was demanded from filmmakers.
